About 100yrs

What is 100yrs, and what is its mission?

100yrs is a sustainable apparel brand and a platform for community-led charitable giving. Our mission is to empower people to support the causes they care about most while promoting sustainable and ethical fashion practices.

How does 100yrs differ from other clothing brands?

Unlike most clothing brands, we focus on reducing waste by making every product to order, using organic and recycled materials. Plus, 3% of every purchase goes to charities chosen by our community through a voting process.

What is community-led charitable giving?

Community-led charitable giving means that our customers and subscribers decide which charities receive donations from every purchase. Instead of us choosing where the funds go, our community votes on the causes they care about most. This approach ensures that the impact we create is truly meaningful and reflects the values of the people who support us. Every vote helps shape the future of our charitable contributions, making 100yrs a platform for collective action and positive change.

Product questions

What is Teemill and why did we choose it?

Teemill is a sustainable print-on-demand partner. They only make an item after it’s ordered — so there’s no over-production or wasted stock. We switched to Teemill because it aligns with our values: organic materials, renewable energy, and a circular design approach.

What materials are used in 100yrs products?

Most of our garments are made from GOTS certified organic cotton, or a blend that includes recycled organic cotton (e.g. the “Remill” line is 50% recycled / 50% organic), to reduce environmental impact.

How is sustainability implemented in the manufacturing process?

  • All Teemill factories are powered by renewable energy.
  • On the Isle of Wight (Teemill’s UK base), and in other Teemill facilities, they use efficient, low-waste manufacturing including closed-loop water systems, organic dyeing, and natural materials.
  • Garments are designed to be returned when worn out, recycled, and remade in future cycles. This supports a circular supply chain.

What does “print on demand” mean for me?

It means:

  • Your item is only produced once you place your order.
  • We don’t keep large unsold inventories.
  • It helps reduce waste, storage, and environmental footprint.

What is the “Remill” collection?

The Remill products are Teemill’s line made from recycled organic cotton, which takes textile waste and re-uses it. It has similar care and quality but helps lower the impact further by reusing materials.

Are there any trade-offs (e.g. cost or pricing)?

Because of Teemill’s focus on sustainability and ethical production, the base cost of goods can be higher than conventional manufacturing or less sustainable POD providers. However, that cost is part of ensuring quality, transparency, and environmental care. We aim to price fairly while keeping sustainable standards high.

What about durability and quality?

All our products are made with high quality organic fabrics, with standards such as GOTS, and attention given to print quality and finish. Teemill’s quality control is strong — it’s not just about materials, but about how the product is made and finishes. (We recommend following care instructions to keep the garment lasting.)

Charity voting

How does the charity voting process work?

Three times a year, we invite our subscribers to vote for the charities they’d like us to support. The selected charities can then receive donations from our customers as they checkout.

Do I need to make a purchase to vote?

No! You can participate in the voting process by simply subscribing to our mailing list—there’s no purchase necessary and it's completely free to sign up.

How often do charity votes take place?

Charity votes take place three times a year, in April, August and December, giving our community regular opportunities to have their say in where our donations go. Each voting cycle allows subscribers to choose which charities we support going forward, ensuring our impact stays relevant and meaningful.

How are charities selected for the vote?

Members of our Original Givers Club can suggest charities they’d like to see included in upcoming votes. From these suggestions, we shortlist the 3 most popular charities for subscribers to vote for.

Can I suggest a charity for future votes?

Yes! If you’re a member of our Original Givers Club, you can nominate charities for future votes.

What percentage of my purchase goes to charity?

3% of every purchase is donated directly to the charities supported by our community. Just choose which charity you would like to receive your donation when choosing your product.

Shipping and delivery

How long will my order take to arrive?

Because each item is made to order, production usually takes 3–5 business days, then shipping within the UK typically takes 2–3 days, so most orders arrive within 5–8 days total.

How is my order packaged?

We use minimal, sustainable packaging made from recycled and recyclable materials. No unnecessary plastics — just what’s needed to keep your order safe.

Can I track my order?

Yes! Once your order is shipped, you’ll receive a tracking number so you can see exactly where your parcel is.

Do you ship outside the UK?

Not at the moment — 100yrs currently ships UK-only, so you can be confident your order will arrive quickly and sustainably.

What makes your packaging sustainable?

Our packaging is plastic-free, recyclable, and often made from recycled materials. It’s designed to minimise waste and reduce environmental impact while keeping your products protected.

What if my order is damaged or missing?

Please contact us using our contact form or live chat as soon as possible. We’ll work with you to replace or resolve any issues, ensuring you get your items safely.

Returns and exchanges

What is your return policy?

We accept returns on items within 60 days of delivery as long as they are in same condition that you received them, unworn or unused, with tags, and in the original packaging. You’ll also need your receipt or proof of purchase.

Can I exchange my product if it doesn’t fit?

Yes, we offer exchanges for sizing issues. The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

How do I initiate a return or exchange?

If you need to return or exchange an item, simply follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Click the order that you want to submit the return for
  3. If your order has more than one item, then select the items that you want to return
  4. Select a return reason and add a note
  5. Click Request return

Please ensure your item is unworn, unwashed, and in its original condition. For more details, please review our Refund Policy page.

Giving

How does 100yrs measure its impact?

We track and share the results of every charity vote, including the donations made and the real-world impact created, such as meals provided, trees planted, or funds raised.

What kind of causes does 100yrs support?

100yrs supports a wide range of causes, chosen directly by our community. These typically include charities focused on:

  • Environmental sustainability (e.g., reforestation, conservation)
  • Humanitarian aid (e.g., hunger relief, disaster response)
  • Health and wellbeing (e.g., dementia care, mental health support, medical research)

We believe in giving our community the power to support the causes closest to their hearts, which means our impact is always evolving.

Where can I see the results of past charity votes?

You'll soon be able to find summaries of past votes and their impact on our “Giving” page, where we celebrate the contributions made by our community. Stay tuned so you don't miss when this is added!

Can I track how my purchase contributed to impact?

Yes! We believe in full transparency, and you'll soon be able to track how your purchase has contributed by visiting our "Giving" page, where we'll regularly update donation figures and share stories from the charities we support. For now, you can see how much has been raised for the 3 charities we're currently supporting using the impact tracker on our website.
